1. Who we are

RODNUK (rodnuk.com) is an independent media platform dedicated to the Romanian community in the United Kingdom. We cover:

We are operated by Dig Wild Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We are not politically affiliated and do not receive funding from political parties or governments.

2. Editorial independence

Editorial content is independent from the platform's commercial activities (job board, advertising, recruiter subscriptions). Journalistic articles are not influenced by:

Sponsored content (advertorial), when present, is clearly labelled with "PROMOTED" or "SPONSORED" tags and visually separated from editorial content.

RODNUK uses AI tools (large language models) to assist in drafting certain articles, particularly for summarising international news in Romanian.

We use only properly licensed images: original photography, Creative Commons-licensed images (with attribution), or royalty-free libraries (Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay, Wikimedia Commons). Images used under fair dealing for news reporting are limited to illustrative purposes, with appropriate attribution.

Quotations from other publications are limited (under 10% of the original text) and marked with a link to the original source, pursuant to fair dealing as provided by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.

6. User-generated content (UGC) and contributors

We accept contributions from volunteers and external collaborators (Romanian citizens in the UK, journalism students, professionals from various fields). Contributors:

If we publish a factual error:

  1. We correct it promptly (within 48h of confirmation)
  2. The article displays a visible correction note with the date and what was corrected
  3. For significant errors, we publish a separate editorial note on the Corrections page
  4. We respond directly to the person who flagged the error

9. Complaints

If you consider a RODNUK article to be inaccurate, prejudicial, or in breach of professional standards, you may submit a formal complaint. We respond within 7 working days. Full procedure: Complaints Procedure.

RODNUK operates in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, including:

We hold an official registration with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller (ref. ZC150659) and have notified the ICO of processing for journalistic purposes ("special purposes").

11. Diversity and inclusion

We commit to reflecting the diversity of the Romanian community in the UK — geographically (London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Belfast, etc.), generationally, professionally, religiously, and socially. We refuse content that discriminates based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or ethnic origin (pursuant to the Equality Act 2010).
